Team Meeting after the audience feedback

Today we discussed in detail the different paths our three characters will take and how they will cross paths. we decided that they will all go past or sit on the same bench at the same time on their morning journey and judge each other.

To get the right actors we held auditions for all drama students, during this audition we managed to find the actor for Josephs part. We asked him if he could do an African accent, if he could dance and act out a small scene. He happily did these things for us and we hired him as our actor.

Group pitch

It was said in our audience feedback that we need to think more about our characters journeys which we knew and took into account and since then have come up with the ways in which the characters will cross paths. In their morning daily routine they all pass the same bench which is where they will be seeing each other and making judgements on each other. Another suggestion we got is for our characters to come together based on their differences and form a friendship which is an idea we had thought about right at the beginning but we decided on a different ending. It was only said that we will touch upon ethical issues with our Joseph character, however we get around that with our moral which is not to judge a book by it's cover because joseph ends up being a CEO of a charity.

Genre: Drama

Summary: Michael returns home from 3 years at university, his mum was telling him how things have changed but he didn’t realise the extent. His best friend Jordan has taken a wrong turn in life and his dad is secretly struggling to make ends meet, Michael has decided to take things into his own hands and get things back to how they used to be.

Introduction

My task is to create either a short film or a music video, I have been shown how to use some new film and sound equipment and practised using it by creating a 1 minute video called 'the secret' within a group my groups secret was a boy who was secretly selling lucozade's at college. I also decided that I would like to do a short film.
